Overview

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare.
As a partner section, MSF Italy is engaged in saving lives and alleviating suffering through fundraising; communication and advocacy, recruitment and deployment of field workers; as well as running operations in Italy and supporting international operations through expertise and other kinds of direct support.

The Regular Donors Acquisition Unit has the objective of developing strategies aimed at acquiring regular donors according to the guidelines identified internationally and reflected in MSF Italy’s strategy. Specifically, the unit is responsible for managing and developing the Face To Face (FTF) acquisition channel and overseeing other regular donor acquisition activities.  The FTF In-House area, within the Regular Donors Acquisition Unit, aims to acquire regular private donors through coordination, management, and development of the in-house FTF program.

Reporting to the Face To Face (FTF) Officer, the Face to Face (FTF) Assistant supports the management of the in-house FTF program through the organization and implementation of the “Travel Teams” and provides logistical and administrative support to the fundraisers. S/he supports the design and implementation of materials necessary for activities aimed at acquiring new donors.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the management of organizational and logistical aspects necessary for  the activities of the “Travel Teams”;
  • Manage the allocation of work tools (Tablets, Phones, Apps, Pos) and access to platforms (Metaface and F2F Site) required by activities;
  • Liaise with vendors to manage technical issues related to dedicated fundraising platforms (Metaface);
  • In synergy with the external donor service, ensure the control, data management of donations and revocations via app and the correct completion of paper forms while ensuring also their archiving;
  • Support the design and implementation of materials necessary for activities aimed at acquiring new donors;
  • Support the administrative management related to hospitality granted at the national and local level for this purpose coordinate with the In-house location contact persons and Agencies;
  • Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of results and put in place support actions where necessary and within the scope of responsibility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree consistent with the objectives of the position
  • 2 years experience in Fundraising
  • 1 year experience in a Face-To-Face (FTF) program desirable
  • Sound knowledge of the Italian nonprofit organization landscape
  • Excellent knowledge of Fundraising tools
  • Proficiency in Office package especially Excel and good IT skills (familiarity in using non-complex hardware and software)
  • Familiarity with the use of graphical tools (e.g., Canva) desirable
  • Full working proficiency in Italian and English (at least B2 level)
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to take initiative and propose innovative solutions
  • Good team player and collaborative attitude

Conditions

Contract: Fixed-term contract of 12 months. Level III of Italian CCNL of Commerce. Part time 50%.

Gross Annual Salary: 28.000€ – max 34.249€ (for a full time). Salary will be commensurate to the part-time and depending on the experience of the selected candidate. 

Starting date: As soon as possible.

Location: Hybrid. MSF Italy Rome or Milan office, and from home.
