Main functions:
The Security Advisor will be in charge of ensuring the safety and security of all Soleterre staff in Ukraine.
The incumbent will advise, train and mentor the programme’s staff. They will oversee staff locations and key movements. They will be involved in security, ensuring timely support and communication to meet programme or project needs.
The incumbent will be based in Kyiv, with travel around the region, and will report to the Head of Mission.
Responsibilities:
• Develop working relationships and networks with relevant local officials, organisations, and agencies, to exchange information related to safety and security;
• Understand the location and deployment of Soleterre staff and assets – advise on their safety, the safety of the worksites and offices, and key movements;
• Ensure the right resources and equipment are available at key locations and in vehicles;
• Ensure good communication systems and protocols are maintained to support staff safety and security;
• Provide up-to-date security briefings for staff, visitors, and new employees;
• Produce regular security and risk assessments and other reports and information analysis as needed;
• Advise on appropriate risk mitigation measures;
• Assist in the development and rehearsal of movement, contingency and hibernation/relocation/evacuation plans;
• Create and/or update relevant security protocols and procedures.
Requirements
• Relevant security and risk management training and qualifications;
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in security, risk, and operations management, with direct experience working insecure and austere environments;
• Good organisational, writing and communication skills;
• Excellent in both oral and written English. Knowledge of Italian and/or Ukrainian will be considered an asset;
• Driving license essential;
• Understanding and previous experience working in Ukraine will be considered an asset.
What we offer
Full-time position.
Salary defined based on experience and on the typology of contract proposed.
