Terre des Hommes Italia (TDH It) is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting children against all forms of violence or abuse and guaranteeing their right to health, education and life. TDH It, which is part of the TDH International Federation, is currently working in 20 countries worldwide, carrying out humanitarian interventions and development projects in the sectors of education, mother and child health, child protection and rehabilitation, to the benefit of thousands of children, their families and communities.
Duty station: Erbil (KRI)
Duration: 8 months (with 2 months probations)
Duties and responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise the assessments conducted by the social workers;
- Draft and revise the BIA/BID reports in coordination with all the staff members and actors involved;
- Follow up the BIA/BID process until the case closure;
- Conduct staff training if needed;
- Follow up critical cases in coordination with UNHCR and TdH Italy team;
- Attend the BID panel and other relevant meetings;
Requirements
- Degree in Social Science, Human Rights or related subjects;
- At least one year of experience in a similar position better if with an INGO;
- At least two years of experience in technical or management roles in child protection projects addressed to Refugees children;
- Very good knowledge about child protection and case management;
- Previous experience with BIA/BID process and/or re-settlement intervention is a strong asset;
- Fluent in English and Arabic (written and spoken).
